Cumberland Healthcare Extended Care Unit a 50 bed skilled nursing home is dedicated to meeting the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs of the residents and families we serve.

Physically located on the hospital campus, our facility has been a part of the community since 1961. The care of our residents is provided through an interdisciplinary coordinated approach. With access to physical and occupational therapy, respiratory therapy, x-ray, lab and various visiting specialists along with our highly-skilled gerontological staff.

Physician Services

With over 50 combined years experience in family practice our clinic physicians deliver expert care. Various visiting specialists are also available to our residents due to the proximity of the attached hospital. Family practice physicians round on our residents monthly. In addition to monthly rounds our nursing staff have access to our physicians for all our residents acute care needs. With the Cumberland Healthcare Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic being on campus our residents have access to professional psychiatric staff, if necessary.

Nursing Services

Our team of caring and highly skilled nurses and CNA’s have many years experience at Cumberland Healthcare Extended Care Unit and are committed to the care our resident’s receive. Our nursing staff is instrumental in leading the interdisciplinary care team. We strive at providing the best possible care that encompasses encouraging independence, enabling freedom of choice, preserving dignity, celebrating individuality, nurturing the spirit and involving family and friends.

Environment of Care

At Cumberland Healthcare Extended Care Unit we strive to make a homelike environment for your loved one. Residents are encouraged to bring favorite personal items from home to add to their room. Your loved one will experience pleasant indoor activity rooms where families can gather or enjoy entertainment provided by the facility at different times during the week. Our beautiful courtyard is inviting and an attractive environment for residents to socialize.

We do not have visiting hours, as we believe having loved ones visit at all hours of the day further encourages our home-like environment.
